Dr. Abdel-Misih is an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology and Surgical Residency Program Director at Stony Brook Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. His clinical focus is the complex management of patients with gastrointestinal cancers . Dr. Abdel-Misih has a passion for surgical education and academic research. He has been an Investigator on over one dozen research projects and has co-authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications.

He attended Jefferson Medical College at The Thomas Jefferson University for medical school and completed his general surgery residency at The Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Abdel-Misih then completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the Ohio State University and Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital. He was previously an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology at The Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
