Dr. Berber is an Associate Professor of Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic. He serves as the Director of Robotic Endocrine Surgery and Co-Director of the Liver Tumor Ablation Program at The Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Berber graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical Faculty. He completed his general surgery residency at The Cleveland Clinic and a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at the University of California San Francisco. He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed papers and 15 book chapters and is active in numerous surgical societies. He is on the Editorial Board of Surgical Laparoscopy and Endoscopy.
Dr. Berber’s specialties include robotic surgery, laparoscopic and robotic liver surgery, laparoscopic liver tumor ablation, endocrine surgery, and robotic thyroidectomy and adrenalectomy. He performed the first robotic posterior adrenalectomy in the world and the first robotic central neck dissection for thyroid cancer in the United States. Dr. Berber also performed one of the first robotic thyroidectomies and parathyroidectomies in the United States.
